De Happy Cajun is a Lake Texoma landmark. Don't let the name fool you, we have something for everyone. Come try some of our signature dishes like Catfish, Crawfish, Amazing Burgers and Po' Boys, Steaks, Shrimp, Gumbo and so much more!

When we opened De Happy Cajun in 2005, our hope was to share of some of our families Southern Louisiana Recipes with our friends in North Texas. Over time, the business grew and we realized that we had something special. Our family's recipes are a little different than "mainstream New Orleans Food". We take pride in making our food from scratch with the same quality ingredients our family used.

In 2013, we decided it was time to take our little restaurant to another level. We partnered with Texoma Destinations and embarked on a major remodel and add-on. We hired a chef to help streamline our process. We added a large patio, something that we think the area definitely needs. Now we have a full-service bar, private dining room, and a patio with a stage for some great music.

If you're in the Lake Texoma area, take the time to come see us. We pride ourselves on great food, top-notch service, and a fun environment that will create lasting memories. Thanks!

Lake Texoma

Fishing Report from TPWD (Jun. 11)

FAIR. Water stained; 74 degrees; 10.38 feet above pool. Striper fishing is improving as the lake settles and fish move up in the water column. Fish are suspended in deep water and on shallow humps 15-25 feet of water. Live bait and lures are working on the right day in the right school of fish. Channel catfish are great along rocky banks using punch bait on baited holes in 10-20 feet of water. Blue catfish are in deeper water on dead shad or cut bait suspended above the muddy water near the bottom. Bass fishing will improve as the lake clears up and the fish move to summer patterns with warmer water. Fish flooded brush in the backs of the creeks and near points. Docks and marinas near the south end of the lake will have less murky water. Report by Jacob Orr, Lake Texoma, Guaranteed Guide Service. Striped bass bite is improving on live bait, with some small fish being caught on artificials in 10-30 feet of water. The fishing improves along with the clarity. A few fish are schooling. Report by John Blasingame, Adventure Texoma Outdoors.
