Hey everybody, Simon from LakeUP. Today we're in beautiful southeastern Oklahoma
0:04
We're gonna be checking out this cabin next to Broken Bow Lake. This is a
0:07
four-bedroom, four-bath cabin. It's called Lazy Pine Lodge and it's pretty awesome
0:12
I gotta be honest. There's a big front porch, there's a big back porch, all kinds of
0:16
stuff to do and a big pull-through drive for a boat. So let's check it out. So hey
0:19
now we're inside of Lazy Pine Lodge. You can see this is a nice warm cozy kind of
0:23
family room looking living area over here. There's TVs in every single room
0:28
There's a big TV right here. Nice little gas fireplace. There's also a wood
0:32
fireplace outside and a fire pit which is pretty cool. You can see this is
0:36
finished out in the yellow pine you know paneling. This is pretty typical for this
0:41
area. Most cabins in this area are kind of built and finished out the same style
0:46
You know what you'd imagine for a cabin for a mountain cabin. So this is you
0:51
know generally what you what you find when you walk inside. Now what's different about this one compared to other cabins I've stated up here is that
0:58
it's this grand space in here. It's just wide open in this big area. This is a
1:04
great cabin for multiple families with kids. I'll show you why. So this is my
1:09
kids second favorite feature of this cabin. Double triple bunk beds. One, two
1:17
three on each side. You can easily fit six kids in here if not more. So again
1:22
this is a great spot for multiple families or one kind of gigantic family
1:25
extended family grandparents you know sister-in-law and kids and all that kind
1:29
of stuff. Kids, cousins, nephews, whatever. This is this can really sleep a lot of
1:34
people. I could play shot the board all night and I probably will. The only thing
1:41
this cabinet is missing to me is a ping-pong table. If we had ping-pong and a
1:45
formidable opponent. Oh man that would just that would just make my entire
1:49
weekend as if it's not already made. So we have shuffleboard. We have an arcade
1:55
over here with like old Atari games and stuff. The kids would love that. So I take
2:00
back the bunk bed comment. That would be their third favorite feature. This would
2:04
be their first favorite feature and we'll get to their second favorite in
2:08
just a minute. So this dining area we have seats for five and a bench on the
2:14
other side. So really you could say seats about eight and there's plenty of
2:19
seating outside as well. There's four seats around the barstool so we can very
2:24
comfortably you know have 12 people eating in here. Not even on the couches
2:29
including the couches are outside. This is my favorite spot of the whole place. I
2:33
love being outside and so I love just a kickback on a rocking chair. Build a
2:38
little wood fire in the fireplace here. Watch my kids playing the playground. That's the second favorite feature for my kids right of this cabinet. So last time we were here
2:47
stayed here once before. These vertical areas were open and the rain came in and got the
2:55
middle of the deck wet. And it got a little bit wet at the set over here
2:59
But it looks like that's all been closed in. There's a cool pavilion here with
3:02
more seating. There's a two, four, six seats over there. There's a big octagonal
3:07
table over here so you can definitely sit at least a dozen out here comfortably
3:12
for a meal. Not even counting all the rocking chairs and everything else. So that's
3:17
pretty cool. Now it looks like I can hang out here in the rain. Which tomorrow is supposed to rain about 10 o'clock until probably about evening. So I'll be
3:26
sitting right there with hot coffee, watching the fire, probably reading a book
3:30
This is the fun zone. So my kids love this playground here. A couple swings and
3:35
stuff. Monkey bars. There's a bunch of yard games and stuff in this kind of
3:40
shed looking into shed right here. And then we've got a horseshoe pit right
3:43
behind us. So there's no shortage of things to do. So Lazy Pine Lodge really
3:50
is overkill for one family. I would say two families or three families it is
3:54
absolutely, absolutely perfect. Three couples maybe. Something like that. Or great big, you know, holiday fun fest with grandparents down to, you know, baby
4:05
cousins and everybody in between. My kids would just have a blast on holidays. Now
4:10
this place books out way ahead of time for holidays. Even like Christmas and
4:13
stuff. So if you're looking to book a cabin up here, look ahead of time. That's
4:19
for sure. Especially in the summertime and mid-late fall holiday season. The slow
4:25
time is January, February. That's when you get the best rates and the best
4:29
availability. There are tons of cabins just, you know, like this and
4:34
different styles. But a lot of them are very similar to this in this area. Very
4:38
close to the lake. Boat ramps into town. Grab a bite of pizza, have a beer, wine. You know
4:46
kind of locally made. Everything's locally made. And fly fish the river. Go
4:52
swimming. Have a good time
