What's up everybody is Simon from Lake Hub and I'm up here on Lake Texoma
0:04
beautiful Lake Texoma at Eisenhower State Park I want to share this this is pretty cool because this is the only state park that I've ever been to that has a private
0:15
Marina right in the middle of it. It's got a ship store. It's got boat slips
0:21
Fishing pier that's totally underwater because the lake is really high Two fishing piers actually this one's got lights. I don't think the other one has lights
0:29
But when the lake drops back down a little bit That is gonna be awesome. It's gonna be some good crappie fishing in the middle of the night
0:37
and catfish This is a really cool State Park As far as amenities go for boating it is off the hook good. There's every amenity that you need for boating
0:51
for trails hiking there are hiking trails biking trails ATV OHV off-road vehicle trails, I mean trails galore this place is really pretty you can see just rolling hills bluffs
1:07
Trees just covered in trees. The whole park is covered in trees There's a day use area. That's that's totally shaded with
1:16
Probably 15 picnic tables overlooking the water and everything. It's just gorgeous. It's just a beautiful park
1:23
Bathrooms are what you'd expect from a state park They're okay, they're clean they're fine, they're not great, you know, they're not they're not amazing. They're not mind-blowing
1:35
They're okay. As far as campsites go. It's a mixed bag. There's only one arm that has full hookups
1:42
It's a called the armadillo hill branch. I think it's the first one when you pull in that one's got full hookups
1:49
There's another one that has you know some electric spots and Then pretty much the rest is
1:56
Pretty bone-dry. I mean, it's your boondocking your dry camp or whatever you want to call that
2:01
You're hauling water from you know, a shared water spigot in between a couple of campsites
2:06
so You know camping amenities it's not really great for big RVs motorhomes
2:14
But it's perfect for little campers and for tents if you're a tent camper
2:19
And you like being on the water and fishing and boating and swimming and all that kind of stuff This park is great. It's also
2:27
It's also like, you know, five minute drive ten minute drive to some really great fishing spots. There's the dam
2:35
There you go, there's the dam the dam is a great striper, you know fishing area, you know, especially dawn and dusk and
2:42
You'll see fishing guides up running up and down here all day long, so the
2:50
Geographic positioning of this park is perfect It's named for Dwight D Eisenhower president Eisenhower because he was born in Denison, Texas, which is just right over here
3:00
And so that's pretty cool You know Denison's proud of of their their favorite son who
3:06
Became one of the sitting presidents the United States of America little old Denison
3:11
So anyway Eisenhower State Park You've got to visit this place if you like the water if you like the trees and the hills and trails
