What's up everybody? It's Simon from Lake Hub. Hey, it's road tripping season. We're
0:05
gearing up for our road trips. We're doing a six-part series. We're on part
0:09
four. We're taking care of the car. We're keeping it tidy, nice and tidy. So we're
0:15
talking about house cleaning and we're talking about some pantry supplies, some
0:19
really simple stuff, stuff you've already got in the house. Just throw a couple
0:23
items in the car and you're pretty well set. So let's jump in the backseat. So
0:28
these are the housekeeping and pantry items. Housekeeping? Carkeeping? We'll roll with it. These are the car keeping, pantry, toilet, toiletry items that I want you to
0:42
keep with you in your car because they will completely change your life. Not
0:46
just on road trips, I mean in like everyday life too. So these are the
0:50
things we've added because we were going on a road trip, just left in the car, found
0:54
out how handy they are. First and foremost, if you're not rolling with a trash can, you are missing out. This is the way to go, road trip or not. I mean if
1:03
you have the room for it for daily life, trash can in your car will totally
1:07
change your life. But if you don't, at least pack one on a road trip. I like the
1:13
ones with the square corners. They don't roll around as much. They don't have a tendency to tip over. I mean this thing sits squarely on the floorboard and
1:21
it is, it's there. Second thing, some trash bags. We just use this grocery
1:27
sack. You put a bunch, a bunch of them in one bag and you know you get all the air
1:33
out, roll it up real tight. This bundle can fit anywhere. It can fit in the back
1:37
seat, back of this seat here. It can fit in any of the door panels, cup holder
1:43
anything, right? So we'll put one of these in the trash can, empty it every single
1:48
pit stop, every gas station, every rest stop. Take the old one out, doesn't
1:52
matter how full it is, throw it away, put a new one in. We make sure we've got a ton of these because they just don't take up any space. Next, baby wipes. If you've
2:02
never rolled with baby wipes, again prepare for your life to change
2:07
Gotta have them. I would say you could get away with either paper towels or some
2:14
baby wipes, but honestly both. I mean if you, if you've got the room for both, take
2:19
both. You don't need, again, you don't need a full roll. I mean take like half a roll
2:22
throw it in the car, and then you've got it there. You've got it if you need it. Now
2:27
baby wipes do tend to be best if it's a new package. So if you've got like a
2:32
half-used package and you leave it in the car for a couple months, they're just
2:36
not gonna be the same. So I do like to take a fresh pack of baby wipes, but they're really inexpensive. And just in case, pack yourself a roll of toypaper
2:48
Again, it doesn't need to be a full roll. You're not gonna run through a full roll. If it's down to about, you know, halfway, half or a third, then just change it out
2:58
throw the old one in the car. Again, under the seat, door panel, hide it away, then
3:06
you've got it. Road trip or not, always have some spare TP. Finally, one of these
3:14
storage containers. This is what we put all our dry goods in. So this will be, you
3:18
know, our bread for sandwiches, for lunches, fruit, nuts, snacks, a couple water
3:26
bottles. Everything will be in here. And what I like about it, it's about a foot
3:31
wide. It's the perfect size to sit on an empty seat. So if you have a seat to
3:36
spare, put this on there and you've got everything within arm's reach. So there
3:42
you have it. That's all the gear that you need to keep a nice, tidy vehicle while
3:46
you're out on the road. This stuff will help you just in everyday life too. So
3:51
see, just test it out. Pack it one time. After you're done with your road trip
3:55
stick with it and let me know how it goes in the comments. We've got more gear
4:01
videos coming up, so stick around
