What's up everybody it's Simon from Lake Hub. This is my garage full of all my
0:07
camping gear. Because we broke camp in the rain. It happens right? So what do you
0:12
do? Well in our case I wouldn't normally do this but it has rained for a week
0:18
straight and we have not gotten a break. My grass has been wet every single day
0:24
You know normally what I do if I was breaking camp in the rain is you just
0:28
pack everything down. In fact I probably wouldn't even pack like the tents in the
0:32
back and stuff if they're soaking wet. Thankfully it wasn't like a driving
0:37
rain you know what I mean. So we were able to pack everything away pretty well
0:42
We just knew that it needed to air out. So normally what I would do is get bring
0:47
it all home, pack up as best we can, as fast as we can, as the least muddy as we
0:54
can possible, and then maybe even just wrap everything up in tarps. Just get it
1:00
home and then once we're home pop up the tents or you know the pop-up camper. Pop
1:06
up the camper, spread everything out, let it all dry out. I've lost a tent before
1:11
to mold and I swore that that would never happen again to me ever again. I'm
1:17
never gonna lose a good piece of gear like that just because of negligence. I'm gonna take care of my gear, make sure that it's nice and dry before it's
1:24
stowed away. So here we are. Texas springtime and even though it's not
1:32
raining in the garage it's still like 85% humidity and that's just the way
1:36
it's been. You know we haven't got like a real dry sunny day. So in the meantime
1:41
I'm keeping air moving around in here. You know you open up the garage when it's
1:45
not raining, let it all dry out, and it seems like it seems like everything's
1:50
cool. I'm still gonna pop it up the first like real bright sunshiny day we
1:54
have when the grass is actually dry. Pop it all up and let it air out for like
1:58
half a day and then pack everything down properly. Now I have a family member who
2:04
told me that they used to put tents in the wash and then dry them on low. I've
2:10
never tried it but that's something you could probably do too maybe. I'm just
2:17
gonna do my method, air it all out, and then pop it up when I can, make sure
2:21
everything's cool, pack it all down. Sometimes weather happens don't let that
2:25
stop you from getting outside and going camping. If you love camping like me

don't miss out on our perfect gear for camping video. I'll catch you next time
