What's up everybody it's Simon from Lake Hub out here camping and leveling
0:05
Leveling your camper. It can be easy, it can be a challenge. I was just talking with a
0:11
family friend about how how much of a struggle that they have every time they
0:15
go camping to level it and I share with them my simple and easy kind of leveling
0:22
device that I made from from one single 2x8. I cut it up three times. You can see
0:29
right there 45 degree angles, three different lengths. Screwed them together with a couple of deck screws. Put one little kind of chalk right there at the
0:40
top, one little piece on the end. And all we do is put that in front of the tire
0:47
and pull forward. That is the easiest way to level your camper. I've got this tiny
0:52
little string level that I leave inside my door right here. Pull it out, put it on
0:58
the floorboard, not on the roof because that might not match. Put it on the
1:02
floorboard that way you know your frame is level. And just pull forward one at a
1:08
time until you get there. And that's it. No more stacking blocks. Even those
1:13
Lego looking blocks, those are really hard to use when you're actually using them. They're really easy to store though. They take up a very small amount of
1:20
space. This is big and clunky. Obviously it takes up a lot of space. But in our
1:24
camper it goes right here and it is the first thing out and it is the last thing
1:31
that goes in. And so it actually doesn't bother us that it takes up that much
1:35
space because it only rides in there. If you need room to ride then you can run
1:40
into you know a problem and look for a different solution that's more compact to
1:45
travel with. But for us this is so easy. I didn't, it was so easy that I had
1:51
forgotten that people struggle with leveling. Because we just don't. We just
1:55
don't. You pull this thing out. You pull forward. Don't back up onto it. Pull
1:59
forward onto it. Just go park it back further than you think you will. Pull up
2:04
onto it and you're there. You know you're setting up camp. That's it. If you like
2:10
camping like I do, check out my how to pick the perfect campsite video. We'll
