Enjoying the great outdoors is a wonderful experience - from camping, fishing, hunting, and taking time with family & friends! Growing up in my family included all these outdoor opportunities! The time bonding, learning, and experiencing the outdoor life are now cherished memories, never forgotten as they will always hold a special part in my life!




Memorial Day 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run at Sunset Cove


The Memorial Day 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run at Sunset Cove is scheduled for Monday, May 27th near Lake Texoma. The 5K run is inspiring and takes you through Cartwright, Oklahoma during the event. Two sight-worthy points at the lake are included in the run.


Anyone is welcome to join the run – including the young and not so young. Those who are active will do well during the run and those who are not so active can have fun as well.


Race day registration begins at 7 am. Packets will be provided at this time to those participating. The run will begin approximately one hour later. Participation in the event is free of charge.


Immediately after the run, pancakes will be provided at no cost. Donations are accepted to help the Grand Island summer missions project. Extra shirts will also be on sale on the day of the race. For more info, please visit RacePlace.com!

Lake Texoma Fishing Report from TPWD (Nov. 13)

GOOD. Water stained; 58–62 degrees; 1.45’ high. Striped bass are excellent using slabs, swimbaits, and bait under birds. They will be found feeding on shad. Some anglers are finding success dead sticking. Largemouth bass are good drifting live baits in less than 20ft are producing best results. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on live sunfish, cut bait, prepped dough balls, and minnows. White bass are good and are biting on live bait.
