Enjoying the great outdoors is a wonderful experience - from camping, fishing, hunting, and taking time with family & friends! Growing up in my family included all these outdoor opportunities! The time bonding, learning, and experiencing the outdoor life are now cherished memories, never forgotten as they will always hold a special part in my life!




Lake Texoma: Earth Day Festival



Join the surrounding communities at the Earth Day Festival near Lake Texoma. The event is scheduled to take place on April 13th from 9 am to 4 pm at the Sherman Municipal Ballroom. The ballroom is located at 405 North Rusk Street in Sherman, Texas.



The yearly event focuses on recycling and related education. There are many recyclable items accepted at the festival which has taken place for the last ten years. The community event is great for families and includes a swap meet, children’s sculpture show, vendors, children’s activities, and food vendors.



Bring your e-waste items such as smaller appliances, radio toys, and computers. Eyeglasses and outdated prescriptions will also be taken for recycling. Also, bring along the following for recycling: paper, cardboard, ink cartridges, bottles, and clothing items. For more info, please call 903-892-7344.

Lake Texoma Fishing Report from TPWD (Aug. 14)

Water stained to muddy; 87–90 degrees; 0.92’ high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits, shakyhead worms and weightless Senkos. Crappie are fair on minnows. Striped bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.
