Lake Texoma is a wonderful place to visit and bring your family camping! Learn more about campsite and campground options by reading this visitor guide!


Buncombe Creek Campground


Camping is offered in designated areas of the campground. Permits are obtained at the entrance gate on your visit. Check out time for camping is by 4 pm. Fires are permitted in camping rings provided to campers.


Campers are welcome to bring pets which must be on leashes at all times. Pets are not permitted in the swimming areas of Buncombe Creek Campground.

Caney Creek Campground


Check out the options available at Caney Creek Campground! The site is located at 7420 Muncrief Road in Kingston, Oklahoma.


Camping is offered in selected areas of the campground. Permits are attained at the entrance gateway on your visit. Check out time for camping is at 4 pm. Fires are acceptable in camping rings provided to vacationists.


Campers are welcome to bring pets which must be on leashes at all times. Pets are not permitted in the swimming areas of Buncombe Creek Campground.

RV Station & Resort in Colbert


RV Station & Resort is located in Colbert, Oklahoma at 411 Sherrard Drive. This location offers RV sites, tent camping sites, meeting facilities and a rec room. There is also a nearby playground and pavilion for larger gatherings.


RV Station offers a wide range of amenities for those interested in staying. Here are some of the features offered for those staying: Pets allowed, outdoor pool, meeting area, gift shop, sewer dumps, & more.

Lake Texoma State Park


Lake Texoma State Park offers a wide variety of amenities for campers. The park office is located at 11500 Park Office Road in Kingston, Ok.


The state park offers a host of opportunities from camping, swimming, enjoying the wildlife, and hiking the trails. The location offers public showers, easily accessible boat ramps, marina mart on site, fuel docking and fishing guide services.


Lake Texoma State Park offers camping via tents or RVs. Full hook-up RV sites are more than 85 available. Over 40 of the sites include water plus electric (30 amp). Primitive tent camping runs approximately $14 per evening. RV sites run from $22 and up. Senior discounts are offered as well as disability discount promotions.


Public shelter areas are available for gatherings or event get-togethers. There are shelters available for reunions, anniversary celebrations, graduation events, and family events. Johnson Creek Campgrounds


Johnson Creek Campgrounds at Lake Texoma Ok offers camping on the eastern side of the lake for visitors. It is a great location for families and is known as the “Playground of the SW.”

Burns Run East Campgrounds

Lakeside Campground also offers a location with easy access to the lake. Family members can swim along the shores of the lake. Hiking trails are also nearby for those who enjoy walking the Cross Timbers trails.

Platter Flats Campgrounds


Looking for a great place to camp near Lake Texoma Ok? Then, be sure to check out the options at Platter Flats Campgrounds! The location offers twenty-six (26) family campsites throughout the lakeshore area. This campground also offers over 50 equestrian sites with/without utilities. You and your family will enjoy the great outdoors and the recreation offered!


Platter Flats Campground also offers a location with laid-back access to the lake. Family members can plunge into the waters along the shores of the lake. A day use shelter is also nearby for those who enjoy gatherings.


Platter Flats Campgrounds offers a variation of lakeside amenities including the following: fishing, flush toilets, entrance station, dump station, showers, and plenty of outdoor opportunities. Eisenhower State Park


Come and visit Eisenhower State Park on Lake Texoma and experience a wonderful adventure! Families and individuals enjoy many amenities at this beautiful state park.


Take time to fish the Lake Texoma shorelines, hike along the trails, swim in nearby coves, and enjoy the surrounding nature scenes! There are also many things each family accesses on their camping trip to Eisenhower – biking, walking, fishing, swimming, ATV trails, rec areas, geocaching, and more.

Lake Texoma Fishing Report from TPWD (Nov. 13)

GOOD. Water stained; 58–62 degrees; 1.45’ high. Striped bass are excellent using slabs, swimbaits, and bait under birds. They will be found feeding on shad. Some anglers are finding success dead sticking. Largemouth bass are good drifting live baits in less than 20ft are producing best results. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on live sunfish, cut bait, prepped dough balls, and minnows. White bass are good and are biting on live bait.
