Friends Of Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge Butterfly Garden

Come and join the Friends Of Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge Butterfly Garden Walk on May 4th. The walk will take place from 10 am to noon. The refuge is located at 6465 Refuge Road in Sherman, Texas.

Butterflies & Blooms

Families and individuals are encouraged to attend the walk. They will see new blooms coming and enjoy strolling through to see beautiful butterflies. As needed, docents will be available to help you identify specific plants as well as the butterflies.

Come & Go

Come and go as you please during the scheduled times. This family-friendly event near Lake Texoma is a favorite among the communities. For more info, please call the refuge at 903-786-2826.

Lake Texoma Fishing Report from TPWD (May 15)

Water stained to muddy; 73–77 degrees; 9.21’ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws, topwaters and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Striped bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are slow on trotlines. Call ahead to verify ramps are open due to high water.
