Lake Texoma Fireworks 2022

This year, we are in store for an epic 4th of July weekend on Lake Texoma! With the holiday on Monday, it's the perfect chance for a long weekend on and around the water.

July 2: Lake Texoma Fireworks Spectacular

The first night of fireworks on the water will be Saturday night at Highport Marina. You can watch this from shore at the marina, but it will be crowded. It's popular to watch from the water just outside the marina, although you should expect a full armada of boats! You can also see these very well from the islands.

July 3: Lake Texoma 4th of July Fireworks

Sunday night will play host to two different fireworks shows, the more crowded of the two will be toward Kingston. Usually this show is launched from the Roosevelt Bridge, but this year will be from land just west of there, highly visible from the water.

July 3: Firework Show at Cove Point

You can also see a fireworks show at Lighthouse Resort & Marina on the Little Mineral arm of the lake. This is a great show to view from land or water.

Get out there and enjoy Lake Texoma this weekend, and be safe!

Fishing Report from TPWD (Sep. 17)

GOOD. Water stained; 84 degrees; 0.28 feet above pool. Striped bass fishing is up and down depending on the temperatures. Warmer days have the fish moving fast and surfacing on top early and late. Live bait and slabs are working on shallow flats and ledges off the main lake in 15-25 feet of water. Crappie are biting jigs or minnows on points with stumps and brush in 12-20 feet of water, or docks and shade in coves. Eater catfish are good on punch bait in 18-28 feet of water on flats and in the backs of ditches. Baited holes are producing numbers. Soon big blue catfish will roam the deep flats chasing big baits. Report by Jacob Orr, Lake Texoma, Guaranteed Guide Service. Stripers are hit-or-miss with the best bite on topwaters or slabs on flats in 10-20 feet of water or deep in 60 feet of water. Target structure and the ledges of drop-offs. Some anglers are using live bait or trolling. Fish should be moving shallow as the water begins to cool. Report by John Blasingame, Adventure Texoma Outdoors.
