Hello All,
Lake levels still down about 6ft
Water temps are in the 47 degree range.
Fishing remains great on Texoma. Bird action is hit or miss but the bite is mostly hit. Live bait is still working great but the lure action is heating up also. Slow retrieves are key to rubber, swim baits. Flukes and Sassys are king right now. I'm still using only live bait and I'm trying to get the biggest Threads I can find in the 4 inch plus range. Fish are running deep and our better fish are 30ft to the bottom on live bait. The Stripers have started their migration to the mouths of the Red and Washita Rivers. You can still find plenty of fish mid-lake though and there isn't a reason to move far from where ever you launched from. Water temps are falling and that increases the danger if you fall in, so be sure to wear those life jackets.
Remember....FISHERMAN HAVE MORE FUN THAN PEOPLE DO!!
