Pointe Vista Development in Kingston, Oklahoma Creates Economic Bonanza

The Pointe Vista development is one of the biggest economical boosters to explode in Texomaland after many years of planning for it to become a reality and will provide thousands of jobs where there are none.

The Pointe Vista development was an investment in an upscale high-end community with high hopes in Texomaland on the Oklahoma border of Lake Texoma in 2008.

Due to the losses of the financing of subprime mortgages that year, Pointe Vista had to be scrapped. But the developers of Pointe Vista never gave up. Pointe Vista is now a reality for Texomaland!

History of Pointe Vista

The men with this vision for this exceptional planned community with lakefront property, a marina, a championship golf course, a convention center, and so much more are Mark Fischer, Grant Speaks, and Ryan Chapman. Their office is in Oklahoma City. They never gave up on their plans. They initially acquired 800 acres from the state of Oklahoma which was formerly Lake Texoma State Park.

Thirteen years later, the Pointe Vista development group has acquired or has under contract 2,700 acres located on 19 miles of shoreline on Lake Texoma. Pointe Vista has also acquired Catfish Bay Marina, and worked with the Chickasaw Nation to incorporate the Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club. This planned community is developing in phases.

Infrastructure and major engineering developments are in place at this time. Phase I includes 84 single-family lots and 57 lakeside and hilltop residences. A wide range of options comes with these lots and residences for housing units of all sizes. At this time, people who want to buy these lots can put themselves on a “first call” list when they come up for sale.

What Will Pointe Vista Actually Become?

Pointe Vista is a premier master planned community that will incorporate the ultimate lake lifestyle with the ultimate in city entertainment out on the western side of the northern arm of Lake Texoma.

Phase I of Pointe Vista is only the beginning. Eleven planned Pointe Vista phases will eventually present a resort hotel with a convention center located within a waterfront town center featuring restaurants, entertainment venues, a casino, waterfront housing, the Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club, and the Catfish Bay 900-slip marina.

Pointe Vista is going to be a smash hit that we have never experienced before in Texomaland! Kingston, Madill, and Tishomingo, Oklahoma may well be on their way to the recognized world stage. With the Winstar World Casino, the largest casino and entertainment center in the world, and the fabulous Choctaw Casino and Resort, both only 40 miles in either direction from Pointe Vista on SH 32 and US Route 70 respectively, Pointe Vista is expected to become the most exciting playground of the southwest for the rich and famous and provide thousands of jobs for Texans and Oklahomans.

Lake Texoma

Fishing Report from TPWD (Apr. 30)

FAIR. Water stained; 62 degrees; 3.54 feet below pool. The striper fishing is great with the rise in water levels and surface temperatures. The shad spawn is in full force, look for fish shallow along rocky banks on Topwaters and swimbaits. Look for birds on the banks and surface activity. Crappie are still scattered and in spawning stages. Fish are suspended under docks and near the top of brush. Jigs and small shad are working in 12-15 feet of water near creeks and coves. Catfish are showing up along the rocks and shallow flats. Cut shad or prepared baits in 5-12 feet of water near points and drop-offs. Bass are at the backs of coves and for suspended fish near docks. The shad spawn and rise in lake levels will pull fish on to the banks as well. Report by Jacob Orr, Lake Texoma, Guaranteed Guide Service. The lake is up several feet and there is lots of mud and floating debris, so navigate with caution. Striped bass are good along mudlines, flats and under the birds with swimbaits. Report by John Blasingame, Adventure Texoma Outdoors.
