PET'S PLACE LODGE - BOARDING AND DAYCARE FOR TEXOMA AREA PETS

ANNOUNCING
PET’S PLACE LODGE

LOVING, CLEAN AND SAFE LODGING FOR YOUR PETS!

Texoma area pet owners now have help with their dogs, cats, pigs (yes pigs), reptiles, birds, and other family pets. The new Pet’s Place Lodge provides climate controlled lodging and day care for your pets, as well as indoor and outdoor play areas, dog walking, dog sitting, cat sitting services and more. Now you can get help with your pets during vacation times, family emergencies, work travel, or just when you need assistance for any time away from home.

Pet’s Place Lodge is conveniently located approximately 1 mile southeast of the new Texoma Medical Center; on the west side of Texoma Parkway, just north of the Woodlake intersection. Call on us to help you for a play day, weekend, or extended lodging. Transportation services are available for your pet as an added convenience. The Sherman location serves Grayson county, and the four surrounding county areas.

Pet’s Place Lodge is a family owned business that is privately held. Jeff and Patti Harr, along with their young son Jake, moved to the Texoma area in 2012 and opened Pet’s Place Lodge in 2014. Jeff, Patti, and the other members of the management team are experienced in animal care from over 10 decades of combined animal involvement, as well as business management from corporate, mid-sized and small businesses. They are all excited to be building a new future as they help you and your pets.

Patti is an Oklahoma native and has lived in Texas for twenty-five (25) years, enjoying Texoma Lake and all of the Red River Region throughout her life with friends and family. Jeff (Hoot) Harr was raised in North Dakota and then spent over twenty (20) years living and working in Colorado. Animals have always been a major part of both Jeff and Patti’s lives. Patti comments that the establishment of Pet’s Place Lodge is a life long goal achieved and working with animals daily is a joy and blessing. Another lead member of the management team is Robert Martin, a south Texas native who has lived in the DFW area for over thirty (30) years, and he too is excited to be in the Texoma area full time. The entire Pet’s Place Lodge team is committed to helping animals and pet owners feel comfortable, while working as an extended part of customers’ families.

The Pet services provided by Pet’s Place Lodge spans the entire Texoma Lake Region north/south and east/west along the Red River. The Pet’s Place Lodge Team welcomes requests for tours of the Lodge facility (indoors and outdoors) weekdays, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Come in to see how we can help care for your pet, while you enjoy the assistance we offer.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Jul. 2)

FAIR. Water stained; 84 degrees; 2.44 feet above pool. Striper fishing is good on ledges and humps. Fish are moving quickly on contour in 15-20 feet of water, or suspended 30 feet down on deep humps in 50-70 feet of water on live shad. Topwater baits will be hit-and-miss in the mornings and late evenings before dark. Channel and blue catfish are great on points and ledges in 25-30 feet of water using punch bait. Bigger blues are roaming deeper water flats in 50-70 feet of water, cut shad and whole gizzard shad are working. Bass fishing is good near docks and rocks on crankbaits and quick moving baits. Look for pockets of clearer water and fish to be suspended. Report by Jacob Orr, Lake Texoma, Guaranteed Guide Service. Striped bass are tough with an inconsistent bite. The flood gates have been closed and the bite should improve as the water settles. Best bite has been with live bait or trolling 20-30 feet of water. Some reports of catches anchored in deep water. Still waiting for the small threadfin shad to run midlake. Report by John Blasingame, Adventure Texoma Outdoors. Anticipate increased boater traffic this weekend as we celebrate our Nation’s Independence Day.
