Fishing Report from TPWD (May 28)

FAIR. Water stained; 74 degrees; 13.23 feet above pool. Striper fishing is still very tough with the current water clarity. Continue to watch for fish pushing up in the trees and flooded coves looking for clear water. Topwaters along with swimbaits will be your best bet. Catfishing remains great as channels are spawning on rock banks. Punch bait and prepared baits are working great in 15-20 feet of water anchored up. Also fish outflow creeks and the rivers for blues with cut shad or rough fish. Jug lines are producing fish for some as well. Report by Jacob Orr, Lake Texoma, Guaranteed Guide Service. The water clarity is starting to clear but is still muddy so it is still tough conditions for striped bass. Some stripers can be caught with live bait. Channel catfish can be targeted around big rocks and drop-offs in 20-30 feet of water cut bait. Very little floating debris in the water. Report by John Blasingame, Adventure Texoma Outdoors.
