Lake Texoma Striper Hunter Guide Service

Lake Texoma Striper Hunter Service is a very successful artificial lure only guide service on Lake Texoma. Full time Lake Texoma Guide Capt. Stephen Andre' will show you how to hunt down and catch Lake Texoma Striper using artificial lures. The Best Lake Texoma Fishing Guide rated #1 in client recommendations and satisfaction.

I do not use live bait. I am a true to heart artificial lure fisherman. I get much more satisfaction tricking those fish with an artificial lure. My guide service is unique in that I only use artificial lures. I do not use live bait and I do not troll. We will hunt our fish down using structure, birds and electronics. We FISH with slab spoons, swimbaits or top water lures. We FEEL that fish bite, SET the hook and FIGHT them into the net! That's the way I grew up and to me that's FISHING! Fishing with artificial lures allows us to fish from very shallow water to very deep water and gives us the opportunity to move around and chase fish and see the lake and the natural surroundings. I have clients that have only used live bait in the past with other guides and they say they will never go on a live bait trip again. It is truly a special event when catching these striper on artificial lures. We're out there to catch fish and I will do what I need to do to make that happen. I will cover the entire lake if I have to in order to get some striper in the cooler for you all to take home. You are there to catch striper and I am there to make it happen!

The first time I fished Lake Texoma was in 1996, with a Lake Texoma fishing guide, and we got into those stripers on top water lures and I've been hooked on this lake ever since! I am fully licensed and properly insured to be a Lake Texoma fishing guide. I am fortunate enough to be able to do what I love to do for a living and support my family. I have been blessed! I am passionate about teaching, helping and watching people catch fish and reel them in, so let's get on the water!!

When you book your fishing trip with me, I'll email you a confirmation itinerary that includes your trip specifics such as the date, boarding time, maps and other information. I'll be ready to go when you arrive. Since you may not be able to get out on the water as much as I do, if you need practice casting a rod and reel or some quick lessons, we'll do some casting when we first go out and get all the bugs worked out. If you have little kids, as I do, I can teach them to cast or cast for them if they get tired or if they just don't want to; no problem! I provide all rods, reels, lures and fish cleaning. Just bring your drink cooler (beer is fine!) and food and get ready to have some fun!

Once our time on the water concludes, typically 4 to 5 hours, we'll enjoy a boat ride back to the dock and take a group photo of our catch and any other pictures you want before I clean your catch.

One thing I don't believe in is using live bait. The bait in the lake is their only food source...let them eat and get fat and happy! I am a true to heart artificial lure fisherman and have been most of my life. I get much more satisfaction tricking those fish with an artificial lure than just sitting and staring at the end of my fishing pole waiting for a live bait to catch the fish for you. Fishing with artificial lures allows us to fish all water depths and gives us the opportunity to move around and chase fish and see the lake and the natural surroundings. It's all about being out there with nature!

Fishing Report from TPWD (Apr. 24)

GOOD. Water normal stain; 63 degrees; 1.32 feet below pool. Striped bass fishing is great on live shad in 30-40 feet of water on main lake points and ledges. Top waters working early around rocky banks, be on the lookout for white birds on the banks early. It will only get better as the striper finish their spawn and the shad start theirs. Crappie fishing is good on brush piles using jigs in 14-18 feet of water. Electronics help locate active fish roaming and sticking the brush. Monkeys milk and mo glo colors working the best. Bass fishing is good on top waters early and swim baits off the banks late morning. Live shad producing numbers and big spawned out fish along the bluffs. Catfish are fair on cut shad and prepared baits anchored in 40-50 feet of water in creek channels and near ledges. Look along the rocks for blues and channels spawning and looking for shad. Report by Jacob Orr, Guaranteed Guide Service Lake Texoma. Hybrid stripers are good on topwater along the bank early in the morning. Watch for egrets and seagulls. Then switch to sassy shad 4 inch glo on flats and points in 10-20 feet of water. Shad continue to spawn. Report by John Blasingame, Adventure Texoma Outdoors.
