$20,000 guaranteed for first place at the Championship. Entry fees: $300 per team per event. $40 membership fee per anger annually. $100 optional side pot. Registration opens 30 days prior to the event.

The championship will be a two-day accumulated weight tournament. To qualify for the championship, you must have a paid entry to all 4 qualifying events. There will be a 3 week off limits period for this event with an official 3-day practice period before the start of the tournament.

Fishing Report from TPWD (May 5)

EXCELLENT. Water lightly stained; 60-64 degrees;1.65 high. Striped bass are excellent on live bait in the river channel and tributaries. White bass are excellent on swimbaits, slabs, small crankbaits, and spoons. Largemouth bass are excellent fishing topwaters, crankbaits, lizards, and chatter baits in 2-16 feet. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs near boathouses, creeks, and brush piles. Catfish are excellent on punch bait, chicken liver, and cut bait.
