More Info

Hope you will join us (along with all True Texans) this coming Friday, April 21, to celebrate San Jacinto Day at the Old Iron Post. On that day, in 1836, the Texian Army defeated the Mexican Army at the Battle of San Jacinto. It was the final battle of the Texas Revolution where Texas won its independence from Mexico.

Don't forget that the City of Sherman is named for Colonel Sidney Sherman. Colonel Sherman commanded the left wing of the Texian Army, opened the attack and has been credited with the battle cry "Remember the Alamo". Our guy was a Hero of the Battle of San Jacinto.

Old Iron Post will have $3.50 Shiner pints and $2.50 Lone Star pints all day long. You can enjoy Rangers baseball on the patio TV at 7:05. Watch our facebook page for other information. or follow us on twitter.

Celebrate Sherman! Celebrate Texas!
