Saturday, August 19, 10:00 am – 11:30 am,  The Refuge Rocks, free nature activities program at Hagerman NWR, for ages 4 – 12! For August, our topic will be SSSSNNAKES!!


If snakes give you the willies, remember this: snakes are a natural and integral component of the ecosystem. Snakes are the most successful of all living reptiles. They are amazingly adapted for their life close to the surface of the ground. Let's learn more about snakes at The Refuge Rocks! (Note - no live snakes)


Registration is optional but helps us have enough materials ready for each child who will attend. Please register each child with our new simple registration online at http://www.friendsofhagerman.com/CONTACT or by calling the Refuge, 903 786 2826. Watch for a new topic each month. Parent/responsible adult must accompany youngsters in the 4 - 7 age

Lake Texoma Fishing Report from TPWD (Aug. 16)

Water lightly stained; 83–86 degrees; 0.15’ low. Black bass are fair on drop shot worms, topwater walking baits and shakyhead worms.
