Second Saturday at Hagerman

Friends of Hagerman NWR
Friends of Hagerman NWR Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to instill reverence, respect and conservation of our wild creatures and habitats through supporting environmental education, recreational activities, and programs of Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

On Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 10:00am, artist-naturalist Walt Davis and his wife Isabel will speak on their book, Exploring the Edges of Texas. In the book, the couple have paired an historical account with a contemporary voice, comparing past and present for 16 locations along the Texas border, including a national park, a mountain range, a wild stretch of river and more.

Anyone interested in the rich natural heritage of Texas will enjoy the book and this free program, which is open to the public.  Second Saturday nature presentations are held in the Visitor Center meeting room at Hagerman NWR, 6465 Refuge Rd., Sherman, TX.
