Second Saturday - The Sex Lives of Frogs Around the World
Saturday, December 9, 2017, 10:00am – 11:30am

Have you attended a Second Saturday at Hagerman NWR?  Don't miss out on this enjoyable and interesting monthly nature presentation series, now in its tenth year.  Participants enjoy a free cup of coffee, an educational program given by college professors and others who are expert in their field, in an informal setting, with opportunities to ask questions and interact with the speaker and others in attendance.

On December 9, speaker Dr. Michael Keck will present "The Sex Lives of Frogs Around the World."  Keck, Professor of Biology at Grayson College, says that "Among frog species, tremendous variation exists in reproduction and development." He will discuss the typical reproductive patterns of frogs from the United States and contrast them with various groups of frogs from other parts of the world, especially the tropics, additionally including, some of the more bizarre examples of frog reproduction and development.

Second Saturday programs are open to the public, free of charge, and no reservations are needed.  Hagerman NWR is located at 6465 Refuge Road, Sherman, and is at the southern tip of the Big Mineral arm of Lake Texoma.
