Water is flowing into Texoma, raining the last 3 days, which helps the blue green algae problem, opening the lake, but staining the water some, changing conditions somewhat. We have still been catching big fish, in mid 40 temp waters, but winds make it tough at times. I am fishing still with live bait, in 55-70 foot of water, and sometimes in 15-20 feet of water. Bait fishing seems to rule, although artificial is good at times also. Getting bait is tough as I have to go to another area, than Little Mineral, to find it. The heavy recent rains have greatly improved the green algae situation, as the lake is open for swimming, except in certain areas. It has never been a problem with fishing or the fish. It is always a good idea to plan your trips, taking the weather into consideration, as it plays a large part in being on a huge lake like Texoma. This 88,000 acre lake, with 630 miles of shoreline, capivates the largest accumulation of fish, making us the "Striper Capital of the World". Good Fishing....JD
