Jerry "JD" Dorsey. JD owns and operates Cross Creek Striper Guide Service, a licensed, insured and Coast Guard certified service from Little Mineral Marina on Lake Texoma. He has dedicated the last 19 years to bass fishing and learning the patterns of the striped bass so you are sure to a successful trip. He began his business on the west end of the lake on the Oklahoma side, in 1994 and althought his name was Jerry Dorsey, theother guides began to call him "JD". He has learned the lake from one end to the other, and now houses his boat at Little Mineral Resort, on the Texas side.
The year has started off with very good fishing, although you must have patience. I am catching big fish, which sometimes causes not being able to get a limit. I am using live bait, fishing in from 20 to 70 feet of water, so far on my end of the lake, Little Mineral. The water temp is in the mid 40s, and with a good day, with only light winds, one can count on a good day of fishing. We are not leaving my boathouse, until around 8am, giving it time to warm up some. This is a beautiful time of the year to fish for stripers on Lake Texoma. JD
