March has worked its way into the Texoma area. Bringing in warm weather finally, and some sunny days. Although the lake is a little low, it has certainly not hurt the fishing. March is usually always a little windy, not that great for fishing, but if you like to sail, March is your time. I like March, in that I start my pre-spring, lure action fishing. I am usually a bait fisherman, but actually like all types, just like to fish! I have been working the shallows, anywhere from 20 feet to the bank. You will catch a lot of big fish now, but doubt, depending on the number of people in the boat, will not get a limit (10 fish per person) If you like catching fish which range from 10-18 pounds, then now is the time you will get more during this time, in my opionion. As it warms, which has been a little slow coming, the action will be faster, which prevents most big fish from getting the hook sooner. You will catch big fish most trips, but March is when you end up throwing a bunch back, as you are allowed only two big fish per person, the rest have to be under 20 inches. Anyway good luck, and see you on the water. JD
